Bonnie Zimmerling
Artist Statement

My art is photography. Still life and landscapes are my passion – old abandoned houses and buildings, trees, and fence lines, etc. The abandoned buildings leave me wondering how people lived and what they left behind. I wonder why they left, why they chose to leave their home behind. I wonder what secrets the abandoned buildings keep.

In my photos I try to show how I see what is around me.

Jill Alexander

Jill Alexander is a prominent award winning acrylic and mixed media artist known for her abstracts with an Art Deco influence, oversized vivid florals and Canadian landscapes with a modern twist. The combination of thick juicy texture produced by palette knife, vibrant colors and gold/silver leafing technique are the hallmark of her work. Many of Ottawa's remarkable landmarks which include the Rideau Canal, the Peace Tower, the National Art Gallery, and the Chateau Laurier have all been immortalized in Jill's more fanciful designs.
